Painting 21
Today I painted a celebrity vehicle. At least a very good detailed replica. The most famous Slug bug..."Herbie" made an appearance at OldTown today. I think Herbie was the first screen car I saw as a kid, either Herbie or the 66 bat mobile. This was a treat to paint, the owners even had the car automated with opening doors, hood, and flashing lights and wipers. Amazing how seeing this car come alive took me back to when I was young and saw Herbie alive on screen. Some childhood magic still exists in the world. Ironically Herbie is owned by Stephen Love, visit http://www.stephensherbie.com to learn more.
