Megacon12

Well another Megacon has come and gone. It was a blast and I'm glad to have met and seen some great people. Especially my cousin who I've recently just met. So here's some new art that was displayed at the con.

Megacon Art

Just over a month until Megacon and so much more art to finish. I've decided to add some teaser art here for those interested. I am working on several new pieces and a few limited edition art things. A series of acrylic and watercolor paintings featuring some Star Wars favorites. The paintings themselves are from 8.5"x11" inches and larger. All type so far has been added digitally. I'm hoping to sell prints of these 2 and more at the convention. Hope you enjoy.

What's he doing now?!?!?!?

Here's a little update for my followers. This year has been a huge struggle on many levels. The most recent developments include:
1) Another Hernia operation. Yes I had a double hernia back in 06(ish). Surprise surprise another hernia this year appeared and I just this past week was able to get rid of it, via surgery. Let's hope that's all I have to worry about for a loooong while.
2) New freelance gig. I am currently creating art for a online graphic novel for Art In Effect. I am doing background art and concept designs which we are hoping will be produced and available by December or January. More to come on that later.
3) The horror series. Progress is being made with 2 pieces completed by Halloween, 75% completion on another and 8 sketched and ready to be started.
4) Mini movie poster spoofs. 2 completed pieces(Get Billy vol. 1 & 2), will hopefully spawn at least 6 other posters. I have ideas but have not been able to start them as yet.
5) Magnets. Custom fridge magnets from nudes to super heroes, I am hoping to begin talks soon with a company about producing a series for their venue. Stay tooned for more soon.
6) Star Wars. More ideas for Star Wars themed posters and advertisements have formed as a result of some of the previous art ideas and conversations with a fellow artist. Yet to begin sketches.
Well that brings us up to date on what my creative world has to offer at the moment. There's so much more yet to be revealed and developed including contests, tee shirts, and  not to mention the last few commission pieces which are nearing completion at last.I hope to bring you guys imagery very very soon. Megacon 2012

I've officially signed up for a table at 2012 Megacon in Orlando. I will be in Artist Alley with guest artist Neil Posis. A New Twist on Movie Posters

So the new horror series I'm creating has lead to more ideas. To give some more variety to my work I've decided to remake some of my favorite movie posters. Here's the twist, the stars are children. Imagine Rocky Balboa as a 5 yr. old boxer, Aliens Ripley as a 7yr. old, or a grade school version of Neo Trinity and Morpheus. You get the idea. So here's the 1st spoof poster...a pint size Beatrix Kiddo star of GET BILLY.

Halloween Treat #1

"Dr. F.N. Stein" makes her 1st debut illustrated appearance in this unique horror series. After a discussion with my good friend/model Cherese aka "Rubilocks" I decided to do a series of horror based pinups. This series will feature situations children should not be exposed to. Here we see this youngster sneaking his way into trouble under a hospital gurney. A little known fact for you "Dr. Stein" was inspired by my favorite horror model Wendy. I've done previous versions of her that resemble Wendy's features. I've gotten several requests at the last anime convention I attended for prints of her. I'm hoping to have these as part of a new book for next years Megacon. Very sexy and erotic pinup monsters in various situations. More to come but 1st I must finish a commission piece for a good friend. (Thanks for being patient J). Hope this teaser gets you excited for what will come next month.
